Pappa Roti … yummm, need I say more? Why did it take me so long to discover this delicious pastry? I didn’t find out about this place until a week and a half into my three week stay in Australia. Since then, I’ve returned on 3 different occasions just so I can get my hands on a few more buns. It is located in Sunnybank hidden away in a little corner that is not the easiest place to find. But don’t be fooled by this small spot, it is almost always booming with business especially during the evening hours. Each bun is handmade so you can witness the intricate spiraling techniques firsthand by the bakers through a glass divider. Made with a coffee flavored crust and a melted buttery center(mo butta mo betta, right?), you really can’t go wrong. Most of the time, batches come straight out of the oven because they are in such high demand! This is definitely the best time to eat whilst it is still crispy on the outside and warm on the inside. Buns alone are 2.50AUD(I normally get the bun by itself) and the bun with add ons(gelato or condensed milk) are 4.50AUD. I was able to taste test the gelato and the condensed milk with my bun because of orders from my friends. Personally, the condensed milk compliments the bun the best and makes it that much better. Nevertheless, whichever way you choose to eat your roti will be just as amazing. Buns and gelato may be the most popular on the menu, but they also serve milk tea and coffee. I can easily say this become one of my favorite forms of dessert. Hopefully they branch out to America in the near future because I cant get enough!

Delicious coffee-crusted buns with a side of gelato?! YESPLEASE!!! Went here 3 times during my stay in Brisbane, I really just couldn’t stay away. If anyone has had a pineapple bun, imagine that but the crusty part is coffee flavored and the bun has a buttery center. On of the best buns I have ever had! Twice I got it straight out of the oven, though it is just as good cold! They make it right in front of you, and takes a whole lot of patience to spiral the coffee cream stuff on top before putting it in the oven. It is 2.50AUD for just the bun and 4.50AUD with a side of gelato. All three times I got a side of gelato. I got durian, berry, and taro. The durian was the best! They also offer condensed milk as a side, which honestly compliments the bun the best! Really great place to grab dessert after a meal and chat it up!

I’ve been in Australia for about 3 weeks and I’ve been to this place 3 times already! I love PappaRoti’s buns! This is a really good desert place! The bun is AMAZING! It has a subtle coffee taste, the top is crispy like a pineapple bun and it’s really soft on the inside. It’s also nice and warm! The bun is $ 2.50AUD, with an add on(gelato, or condense milk) it’s $ 4.50AUD and with milk tea it’s $ 5.50AUD. I’ve been getting the bun with gelato. I’ve had durian, wildberry and black sesame gelato. The durian gelato has to be my favourite so far! The bun is delicious with condense milk too! I think I’ll be here pretty often ;]

Omg! These buns are one of the best I’ve tasted! Their just simple buns with a buttery filling. They taste so good when warm, so I suggest to eat them straight away or you can reheat it in a small grill if you decide to eat them later. I just think that $ 2.50 for the bun is a bit dear though. They should come in boxes if you order 4 and more buns and should include a free bun when you order that much! Haven’t had the ice-creams with it, but I’m sure any ice-cream will taste as good with it or even coffee! Place is small, not really a place to eat. I just order and go.

OMG!!! ROTIBOYISINBRISBANE!!! «Roti Boy» we call this coffee bun in Malaysia! PappaRoti is franchise business by Malaysian immigrated in Australia. I am so excited when walking pass market square and I smell Roti Boy, I thought I was dreaming! I miss Malaysia so much! Buy it as a breakfast, high tea, dessert or even supper!!! Is so yummy! PappaRoti bakes their fresh coffee buns on the spot. The buns are always sold out so fast but… is only a 15 minutes wait for a hot new batch to come. Chill with a drink«teh-tarik» or «teh-o-ice» which Malaysian always drink and reserve your hot fresh coffee bun from the friendly owner or staff while waiting. I personally always love having«teh-o-ice» with«Roti Boy» because is so refreshing. One after another, I guarantee you, 1 is never enough! You better get at least 2 ! Well hey, only $ 2.50 a bun ;)
