I use to work at Lords a couple of years ago and have been playing casual netball ever since– around 6 years. It is a good gym/sports centre with great facilities, a pool, spa in the changing rooms, squash courts and many other courts for team sports like basketball, soccer and netball. The gym membership per month is a bit too costly for me but I think it would be a good gym to be a member of as that membership gives you access to a lot of facilities. It also has a café and a crèche. I love playing netball here! I have tried a few other sports centres while it was closed down but none compare to Lords!

I’m a self-confessed gym/sports centre junkie so I’m definitely biased towards any sporting location. In my opinion Lords is the best sports centre in the western suburbs. A couple of years ago the Subiaco council planned to shut Lords down and replace it with housing, however after such a public outcry it was renovated and re-opened. Its one of the few sports centres that covers almost all indoor sporting and gym options, with four basketball/netball/futsal/volleyball courts, two tennis courts, three squash courts and an indoor hockey pitch. In addition there is a vast gym, a lap pool and a sauna and a big aerobic room where Les Mills classes are run. Membership is a little expensive but for all the benefits you get it is definitely worth it.

This is a one-in-all indoor sporting location! There’s tennis courts, basketball courts, indoor soccer, pool, netball, gym, and even racquetball. If you’re a parent you can use the crèche facilities. There’s also saunas and spas in the change rooms. The staff are very friendly, the gym is clean, and there’s plenty of classes ranging from pilates to spin. The quality of this place is summoned up pretty well with a little antidote; so a couple of years ago, the council closed this place for a few months which cause such outrage that Subiaco residents caused an uprising and forced this place to reopen. After extensive renovation, it is more awesome than ever! Plenty of facilities and training programs, and it isn’t even pricey! Welcome back Lords!
