Farmer Jack’s

Farmer Jack’s has produce of amazing quality. We shop here once a fortnight and all the produce stays fresh in the fridge — nothing is wasted as when you buy produce of lower quality and it rots fast. The produce prices are amazing too, as they are supposed to draw you into the store. However, most other things are more expensive than at IGA and Coles, except frozen items, such as frozen fruit and fish.

I’ve always been a fan and have shopped here for many years, however lately have been taking note of prices advertised on the shelves compared to what is charged at the checkout and have continuously found discrepancies and being charged for the incorrect quantity of items bought (eg. yesterday it was for 2 x zucchini and clearly I only had one) then I was charged for the most expensive of sweet potato when it was not. Previous time it was tissues which was advertised at a lower price that was at checkout, I could go on …
I’m tired of this practice and whilst I understand the occasional discrepancy I no longer believe that it is not intentional.
Having said that, it is not only this Supermarket, today I tried at IGA and had to again point out to the teller an item that was being charged incorrectly. Therefore I believe it is across the industry and it is just not on.

FJ’s has been a godsend to us. Prices are good, variety is good, customer service is good. Whether it’s generic butter or artisanal truffle honey, FJ’s has it all. To make it even better the store is surrounded by small vendors like a deli, bakery, and a discount wine merchant. In a city where going out to eat will cost you your first born FJ’s will be sure to feed your whole family without breaking the bank.

You guys just get 5***** for being open 7am — 10 pm Sundays! Let alone all the delicious food you stock, well done for keeping perth up to speed :)

I am a mouse and this is my home. This place is full of every kind of cheese in the world and I love cheese. Brie? Camembert? Chèvre? Espresso crusted cheddar? YES!!! It’s all here and waiting for you. Chanting your name. Calling to you from the aisles. «Eaaaaaaaat me, Eaaaaaaaat me».
I naturally couldn’t resist the call of the cheese and this short trip resulted in $ 70 worth of cheese, $ 10 worth of kale flowers, $ 10 worth of gourmet pizza and 4 different kinds of gourmet crackers (to go with my trailer load of cheese).
Additionally this place has the gourmet, organic version of everything. Teas, coffee, giant hunks of delicious meat, dips, pasta. Everything. It’s the 5 star version of a supermarket. Kinda like whole foods in the U.S. (Or whole pay check as the locals liked yo call it).
I love this place and highly recommend a visit. Good luck not buying cheese.

The best supermarket in perth open til late and stocks everything you will ever need for your pantry fridge and freezer! They sell bulk meats, we bought two massive beef sirloin slabs to cater for 50 people at my partners 30^th it was a hit and the price was amazing. Fab WA PRODUCE!

I have passed this place so many times & never gave it the time of day.
I finally went in over the weekend & it was so much better than any of the bigger stores for fruit or veg. Nearly all the fruit & veg was either WA or Australia grown. It was cheaper, fresher & tastier than other bigger stores.
Their non-​veg/​fruit items were a little bit more pricey but then again they have a lot of things that you would never find anywhere else & worth a little extra to get these great products. There is such a huge selection & variety of so many unique items here it is worth a visit. The staff are really customer orientated.
Their opening hours are great — 7 days a week until 9pm.
I will definitely be shopping here again.

Like Trader Joe’s in the US, this is a great place for fresh fruit and vegetables, and to find ingredients you can’t find elsewhere (e.g. Woolworths Subiaco had no crème fraîche or bottles of lime juice; Farmer Jack’s had two types of each).
I find the layout a little difficult to navigate and remember where items are, but I think that’s due to having so many things that are different from standard supermarkets. It’s easy to spend a lot of money here because they have many speciality items that are more expensive than usual.
The car park at Crossways Shopping Centre is a nightmare — walk or cycle if you’re nearby. The car park desperately needs resurfacing and as a result, people drive all over the place.

Farmer Jacks is actually open until 10pm every day. It is a consistently good supermarket and it has been my regular for the past 3 years now.
The fruit and vegetables are quality produce and quite often they will have a batch available from a local farmer. Prices are reasonable too. Farmer Jacks stocks brands from all over the world and quite often I get tempted to try some of them. If you want to impress there are some great range of sauces and marinades.

The seafood section is sizeable and freshly stocked
Good range of picnic portions of food
They stock holy smoke products

Open seven days a week until 9 pm. They stock unique items for baking and sometimes have American candy like Reese’s. I was more than elated to be able to make Sticky Toffee Pudding because they had all of the weird types of sugar I needed for it. They also carry Karo corn syrup… a hard find. Sometimes they have Dr. Pepper on sale too! All of the fruits and veggies are fresher than what you would find at other grocers in Subi, they carry specialty cheeses, and italian susage.

Farmer Jack’s is located in a small shopping complex in the middle of Subiaco. Usually, items from Subi tend to be pricey, but Farmer Jack’s bucks this trend by offering good-​quality products for decent prices. There are plenty of organically-​sourced food at prices that won’t burn a hole in your wallet, and a good selection of frozen and quick meal items. For instance, they have a range of items from Pitango, an organic company specialising in ready-​to-​eat meals.
Farmer Jack’s is a great place to shop if you are in the area, and they are open until 8:30pm everyday.

A great supermarket just minutes from the Subiaco train station (2 driving or 10 walking). If any of your have been to the states, this is as close to Trader Joes as I have found. They have a deli, a bakery, and a great selection of gourmet foods. While Farmer Jack’s isn’t as cheap as Trader Joes, it’s still reasonable and doesn’t break the bank. They have loads of fruits, vegis, and pre-​made salads that you can snag for lunches. My favorite part of Farmer Jacks is their large cheese selection and I was surprised that they had a good selection of budget-​friendly wines, with bottles under $ 10.

Awesome supermarket located at the half-​way point of Rockeby Road. Huge variety of fresh vegetables and fruit (especially fruit not readily available/​out of season), heaps of specialty cheeses, cold cuts, breads, and dips. They also have a wide selection of yogurts, frozen meats, coffees & teas, and even eggs! You can go with $ 35 and buy yourself some groceries, or alternatively spend over $ 100. Huge variety and I have a blast every time I go (set aside a good 45 mins if you’re a foodie like I).
