When you think of Strathfield you think of Korean BBQ, frozen yoghurt and hot chocolate. The last thing you’ll think of is probably pasta. But guess what? Napoli Stra is a little shop right outside the plaza that can satisfy your hunger for pasta. They’re pretty much an Italian restaurant that serves wood fried pizza, pasta, salads and the usual stuff you see on an Italian menu at the likes of Haberfield or Leichardt. Do they do it well here? It ain’t too bad to be honest. We ordered a tomato based seafood spaghetti and an oil based prawn and scallop fettucine and they were both quite flavoursome. Though the scallop I had was for sure frozen(left them alone cos it didn’t taste 100% fresh) and they don’t use normal king prawns or tiger prawns like most places so it’s quite small. But then again you can’t ask for much when you’re paying around $ 15 for a decent sized pasta. But I’d rather pay a few more bucks to get a slightly bigger pasta with more fresh seafood and other fresh ingredients like herbs. I’ll visit again.
