Ok I know it’s Mc Donalds… it’s fast food .it’s take away… it’s cheap… Yadda Yadda… Why you doing a review… Because with the new «Create Your Own Menu» and its «Self service» touch screen thingies it’s no longer anything like any run of the mill Maccas of old… The touch screens make it a quick streamlined process if you don’t want to line up. You can still just order straight off the set menu your favourite Maccas burger or meal… And now even with the «set meal» you get a healthier option of swapping the fries and soft drink for coleslaw and water. Also now if you want to you can unleash your creative side and CREATE A SALAD OR BURGER to your exact wishes. Yes that’s right if (like me) you want to «tweak it a little» or have a food allergy or want to choose healthier… you can… You can customise everything… the bun type… Do you want cheese and if so what type, sauce, salad or not. I choose to make my own salad … Again I could customise every aspect… I chose Chicken fillet with lettuce and spinach mix, carrot, onion, grape tomatoes, no cheese, bacon, and tortilla chips with Balsamic Vinegar (there was 3 other choices). There was more I could of added including jalapeños, cucumber, and avocado guacamole. You can even add extra of each (you chose x1, x2 etc) The price was extremely reasonable at $ 9.95 ($ 1 for bacon) and I was expecting a mediocre medium salad. I (happily) was wrong… it was a very good «meal size» and beautifully presented. My drink was extra, but again worth it as I got their Ice Tea (it appeared to be Peach). Maccas has gone «a little bit Fancy» and I hope they don’t change as I will be now eating there more. The staff where excellent and very helpful.

No soft serve. No frozen coke. No salt on the chips. No cream on frappé !!
They could tell who’s order was who’s so points there.
