It’s the last week of school for the year but school finished on Wednesday so it was coffee day somewhere, anywhere but I felt like something different. Going somewhere else so up the mountains we went. After going walkabout up down Macquarie Road looking at what was available to eat and looking at a new age store, we waddled over to 2Blondes Café. A cosy café with indoor and outdoor seating. From the get go, service was friendly and welcoming. and helpful. My daughter ordered the Ruben which was a toasted sandwich and I ordered the Pesto Tart. When our grub was brought out to us, it was presentable and looked like it may not have been enough. How wrong were we? This food was delicious and filling. Along with a regular cappuccino, we left feeling like he had well settled stomachs. Maybe a little too settled yet satisfied tummies indeed. They also sell 250g bag of coffee beans, tea cups, caramelised onion jam, etc. Their onion is yummy. After asking about the jam as I have never heard of it, I was given a sample served with my meal which was not only tasty, it reminded me somewhat of pickled onion but not the same. Not the same… it was better. 2Blondes Café:
