Honestly after just returning from the land of casinos and Chinese food inside casinos(Macau), this place was unwelcome and dull. I don’t even know why we went here, it was that unsatisfactory. I think this was my partners decision, yep uh huh totally his fault. Ideally I would rate this restaurant 2.5 but I’ve rounded up. Well first off, we played it safe and ordered all the typical dishes, because surely they can’t do those wrong. Well… they did. We ordered BBQ pork buns, pork shumai, stir fried noodles with beef, shanghai dumplings and fried pork with char siu sauce. Everything was so very sub standard and ordinary, nothing was«delicious» and in the end, the food made me sick immediately afterwards. Despite it being peak hour lunch time, the restaurant was empty but our service wasn’t very attentive. The interior décor is decent for a Chinese restaurant but unimpressive for a Crown casino establishment. Oddly, during payment time, my signature club card wouldn’t be accepted in their machine so the guy doing the transaction walked us all the way to the Signature Club reception within the casino to get my card«fixed». It turned out my card was fine, just their machine didn’t work and their eftpos was also playing up. Feels like we cursed the place. Won’t be coming back for sure!

I suppose choices are a bit limited at crown but this is not worth visiting unless you’re after overpriced and extremely average Chinese food. We had a wide variety of dishes as well as dumplings — prawn & chive, Shanghai and some wontons. Bland and overpriced at $ 14 for 6. Noodle dishes lacked flavour and were either mushy or dry. Not surprising given they landed on our table only a few minutes after we ordered. So safe to assume only the deep fried stuff and dumplings are cooked fresh We had to send back a glass of bubbles as it had a lipstick stain on it. Table was dirty and sticky. We also had to flag down staff a couple of times to get some water If you’re stuck at crown, head to merrywell downstairs and embrace the carb overload!

Granted I have only been here once, it has definitely stood out in my mind. Great food, quick service and good range of menu options. When I next find myself in Victoria I will definitely be going back to Sho Noodle Bar at least once.

Pretty cool noodle bar, lots of choices, quick service and great food. No complaints. Always seems to be busy, which means a good turnover and fresh food.

Sho Noodle Bar is the perfect place for a quick meal in the Casino, that is situated within the gaming area — meaning adults only. Dishes are prepared in full view, and the chefs put on a bit of a show with their woks and sizzling dishes that you can smell within a 10 metre range –and its a good smell, I promise! With both small high top tables or bar seating around the kitchen area, its not the type of place you take a long leisurely lunch at. But for a quick meal you really cant go past Sho’s. In terms of the food, the noodles are delicious. I love a mixed noodle dish, with both chicken and beef in a satay sauce.
