The bar at the Como hotel is so dated, sat there an hour to do some work on the lap top the other afternoon and was not approached for a drink or service. Décor so 90’s and really not an inviting place to have a drink. Kind of glad I was left alone as would have wasted money to drink in a bar with such dated ambience. A refit I think is needed here.

it had it ups and down.
ups: service was great, everything was clean, great location, easy to walk to the tennis, good rate for a peak time, staff is so friendly and helpful. easy to get a taxi in front. room was very spacious.
downs: gym has one treadmill and is tiny, gym has terrible AC and a glass roof so in 44C heat was not usable, awful jackhammer construction at 8−10am that we were not warned about. internet is stupid expensive and not unlimited even when you do pay.
never went to the bar, looked fairly empty but good reviews on tripadvisor.
overall, i did prefer the lyall hotel a few blocks away, but this was a fine place to stay.
