Mish Café is my go-to place during my lunch break at work. This place is definitely a bang for your buck. Mind, I haven’t tried much of the breakfast options or sandwiches… I’m vouching for the Chinese food they have on the hot plates! Customer Service: The customer service you receive is definitely dependent on who serves you. The majority of the time, the servers are quite friendly but every now and again I get the odd uninterested server. However, being more of a takeaway place than a classy restaurant I’m not too fussed on whether or not the service is friendly. They’re decently quick about your order which is the important thing. Food: Like I said, my main experience with Mish Café is trying out their Chinese food available in a takeaway combo. They normally have hot plates full of fresh food — fried rice, noodles, meats, etc. My go tos? Fried Rice — To be fair, you cannot go really wrong with fried rice. However, the fried rice here is actually quite yummy and not dry at all. I would definitely recommend pairing it with some meat. Roast Pork — Roast pork — yummy! The pork is very tender and you can even request a bit of gravy. Stewed Beef — I actually love the stewed beef and it is quite unfortunate that they don’t usually have this option on the menu — only every now and again. The beef is tender and delicious with great sauce to accompany it! You can get your choice of foods in a large takeaway container that fills you up for 7.80. Yup — 7.80! You really can’t get much cheaper than that for a filling yet delicious lunch. — The only reason why I’m giving 4 stars is because the food isn’t out of this world. It is delicious, don’t get me wrong, but nothing mind-blowing. However, I was quite tempted based entirely on the prices. Regardless of 4 or 5 stars, if you’re looking for a cheap lunch that doesn’t leave you unsatisfied, Mish Café is the place to go!
