South Bank has a cool new chill-​out area for summer — all day, ever day you are able to come and relax in the funky, bright coloured lawn chairs scattered through the Little Stanley lawns.
The seating is free for everyone to enjoy. Come and hang with friends, enjoy your coffee from a near by café or come and have an impromptu meeting in the sun. The chairs are available from 10am until late night.
I think this is a really great initiative by the South Bank area, and provides a chill-​out zone away from the beach and cafes which can get pretty busy.

European visitors take note — these rad lawn chairs are free to sit in and have no time limits! Unlike the ones in London — yes, my husband and I plopped ourselves down only to be approached shortly by a man with a ticket machine.
This is another cool initiative by Southbank, so if you work in the area or are hanging out in the parklands come and take a load off here with a coffee or a sandwich. Remember sunscreen if you’re prone to falling asleep.
