I have a feeling most Transport and Main Roads Departments are similar, but I still have to put it out there… This TMR in Sherwood is extremely slow and always super packed with people. Argh! I hate coming here, it’s such a drag. Most days it is opened from 8:30am to 4:30pm, which means many people who work Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, would have to take a few hours out from work to fit in a visit. At 8:30am, there is usually a number of people waiting for the doors to open. Everyone wants to get in as early as possible. When it really is busy, there isn’t even enough chairs to sit on inside and not even enough space to stand, so some people are left waiting outside the doors. Customer service here is a bit up and down. I have met some really lovely and helpful stuff, but at the same time, I’ve met a fair share of rude staff members. Over a few visits, I’ve been able to observe there is a shift in moods from morning to afternoon. On the afternoon visits, I feel a lot of tension in the air from impatient customers and grumpy staff. So, if you plan on visiting this TMR, I strongly urge you come in the morning, even if there is a bit of a queue, because the afternoon gets to be very moody.
