Semaphore Foodland

While the late starts on Sunday don’t do me any favors in the morning they have fantastic ranges and always have great deals in the dairy section on your favorite yoghurts. The deli section is really good and they often have fresh veggie patties (sometimes chickpea ones too!).
Always a great amount on sale and super friendly staff, love this place!

Your crème de la crème of Drake Supermarkets. Your Foodland mecca, your store for everything.
By far the most prettiest IGA if my eyes ever did see, gone are my images of your local IGA store being the daggy, rundown, misunderstood cornucopia that it was, hello bling bling ka-​ching fruit and vegies galore!
Supermarket; the aisles are bright, the floors are shiny, it’s open late, and you can still get a bargain on those Cavendish bananas on that Saturday night (rich in Vitamin B you know). I don’t to need blink when I walked through the front door into this amazing store, everything is so handy, if it didn’t have the name Foodland attached to it, you’d think its name was C**** or W********* something far and odd like that, Drakes is worth a visit.
I love this Foodland. Not only because of its location (prime location by the sea by the way) but by the way the owners set it up. I’ve been in my fair share of Drakes, Romeo’s, Chapleys’, IGA’s to know that this one, takes the cake… and eats it too. It’s everything the stereotypical Foodland should not be. Clean, everything looks fresh, the aisles are organised, the prices fair, the service friendly. Did I mention the aisle’s clear not bright?
It doesn’t stop there. They only stock a range of deli delights, Variety of cheeses, along. side dried fruit, crackers for the pic-​nic.
The feeling is good, the staff are courteous and the atmosphere at Drake’s Semaphore FOODLAND is a good one. If your planning and packing your picnic hamper here, it’s a good start!
