Established in 1993.

Grant Ward started the business in 1993. Family owned and operated, we pride ourselves on personal service, customer satisfaction and creating and maintaining great relationships! Grant’s specialty is his knowledge of automatic transmissions and how best to maintain and/​or repair or recondition them if needed.

Business Owner

Grant completed his mechanical apprenticeship back in the 1980’s, specialising in automatic transmissions. In 1982 he gained the top award for Apprentice of the Year. Following on from obtaining his qualifications he worked predominantly on automatic transmissions, also general mechanical work, then later in tyres. After developing a broad range of mechanical and business experience working for various companies, in 1993 Grant started his own workshop GS&M Automotive. Later joined by his wife Michelle, GS&M Automotive is still family-​run and headed by Grant along with a small team of people.
