History
Established in 1994.
Fish on Flinders has been a popular locations for local and visitors to the Sandgate area for many many years.
The Flinders Parade area was developed around the time of the First World war almost 100 years ago. At this time Sandgate was seen as a desirable holiday destination for people living away from the coast. During the summer months thousands of people flocked to the area to enjoy the relaxed sea side environment. Sandgate boasted clean beaches that were a popular weekend destination, with thousands of people visiting from Brisbane to escape the heat. Boating, swimming and golf were the most common sporting activities. Moora Park was the location for dances and open-air films.
The famous Sandgate Baths opened in 1927, and this contributed to the growth of the Flinders Parade area.
What we know about our location at 196 Flinders Pde is that there has always been a Convenience store of some type. Some of the more recent names of the store have included «The Pool Store». Th
