Meet the Manager
Dion R.
Manager
Sensei Dion has been training with JKA Karate, since 1981.
Originally from Whyalla, Sensei Dion won numerous National Junior Titles, and represented Australia at the JKA World Cup, for the first time, in 1988 — achieving 2nd place, in Team Kata.
After moving to Adelaide for work, Sensei Dion opened a Dojo in Brighton (called Adelaide Metro Dojo) — this Dojo became the strongest club in SA, winning many State & National Championships. Several members of the Adelaide Metro Dojo became National Team Members, with three of them gaining medals at the World Cup level.
In 2007 Sensei Dion relocated to Salisbury, with his family, and begun teaching at Thomas More College (the beginning of the Salisbury Dojo). Since that time, the club has move a couple of times, until settling in Mawson Lakes in 2011.
Since 2011, the Salisbury Dojo has become one of the strongest Karate Clubs in Adelaide, with attendance exceeding 50 people, on most occasions.
JKA Salisbury Dojo — A GREAT place to train.
