Not the best mexican I’ve ever had… but pretty tasty. Good atmosphere and great staff.

Oh dear but I am in this place writing a review and it just because… THISPLACEISAMAZING!!! The food was good. The staff are very good and funny The place is proper dive barr!!!(check out this term on US Unilocal means cool bar and a high accolade) The entertainment is out of this world. The band on tonight are playing a drum kit and a didgeridoo but not like rolf Harris(sorry this is the only time I have ever heard a didgeridoo before) If I could put them up against the Prodigies there would be a musical fight on are hands. The band on tonight are Ganga a gigi . The UK not got this. Best night in Oz do far

This place has tasty food but I would not travel from town to the Peninsula for it. However, the staff who work at the bar are so friendly and conversational… that it makes up for the food. A rather fine selection of Mexican beers is also on offer here. I have also heard the band attracts quite the crowd… and when a crowd is present, expect the bar staff to bring out a special treat to top off the night. chilli tequila shots!!! Now that’s how to finish a night out!

A little sceptical at first, heading out to Mexican more for the cocktails and entertainment but was told the food would be good. Well, the food was great. The Nachos were unlike any I’ve had before some secret ingredient that they used I am sure, and the hot wings were delicious. Now it may have been the alcohol that made me devour everything on my plate or it may just have been that the food was that good… For a table of 13 girls, we were all pleased and raved about our Mexican feast.

I was introduced to Bahas by a good friend of mine who is a Rye local and ensured me I was about to consume the best Mexican food ever. As a lover of Mexican, I was skeptic, but I must say, I was impressed. Baha used to be situated on the main street of Rye, opposite the foreshore but has since re-located down the road to a bigger, more modern restaurant space. Apt, considering the growing popularity of the venue. Not only serving delicious Mexican and Mediterrenean food, Baha also combines food with quality local music — a $ 15 door price is charged for all gigs, and only $ 5 for diners already in the restaurant. During my last experience, the chicken burrito was to die for and the best bit? The«hippy chips» as an entre — a delicious mix of sweet potato and regular fries. Prices are fairly reasonable, though locals have commented on the venue raising prices since the move. Baha prides itself on great food and great original music and I must say, all the times I’ve attended, it is yet to disappoint. Baha also accommodates to functions — anything from birthdays to weddings — providing various catering packages for individual needs.
