History

Established in 1982.

Sensei Phil started in Feb 1982 in his house. He was allocated the job by the club he was training at to look after all the uniforms. As the club grew to over 500 members, he had to increase the number of uniforms to over 100. In 1986, the shop moved into the premises which it still occupies today, and registered the company name. When registering the name, we understand that there is no plural in the Japanese language, so it should have been Sensei, not Senseis, the reason we used the plural, was to encourage instructors to come to the store to buy equipment and for guidance.

Sensei Phil started training in 1982 in Goju Ryu Karate Do, and still trains today at 53 years of age. Sensei Phil is a member of the Japan Karate Federation. Sensei Phil has been a judge at Richard Bradford Martial Arts Spectacular, twice, and was a sponser of 2002 Australian Karate Federation.

Sensei Phil was the Fairtex distributor for many years.

Sensei Phil has trained in USA and Japan.

A Director of Australian Sport Kung fu Association

Was a NAS NSW Sponser for several years, and a NAS 2010 National Champion of Champions sponser both male and female
