We had the degustation menu. Absolutely amazing! The beef cheeks was the highlight for me and the pork belly the highlight for my companions! Service was wonderful too. Highly recommended!

We ate. ate. and ATE some more! We may have over ordered but nothing was sent back! Plenty of winners on the menu, just explore it yourself! Will return after exceeding expectations.

They never disappoint. Gave us a table Friday night even though they were fully booked. Food is exceptional every time. Sangria just the best. One of my favs in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a good tapas restaurant in Rockingham like Rustico. We had a great white wine sangria to start the meal — I love a refreshing white wine sangria and not many restaurants offer a white one. One of my favourite dishes was the duck and pork terrine with pistachio nuts, wrapped in bacon and served with some caramelised onions. The sweet caramelised onion marmalade was a perfect compliment to the rich terrine and the pistachio nuts were a bit soft and provided nice texture. You can’t go wrong with a nice simple patatas bravas and Rustico’s did the classic tapas staple dish justice. For dessert we decided to splurge and get the dessert tasting plate — the rich nutty and fudgy brownie was a bit too rich for my liking, but the crème caramel was light and creamy in contrast. A very unique one was the chocoholic cocktail — a frothy chocolate drink with some Bailey’s and chocolate liqueur — which was an interesting palate cleanser. I’d love to come back and try their paella and mussels. These looked amazing, but alas, there’s only so much room in my belly!

For Friday lunch, to celebrate my husbands birthday we booked a table at Rusticos in Rockingham. We were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member and shown to a lovely table by the window. The view was wonderful as was the décor and vibe of the restaurant. We ordered drinks, of course I had to have a Marguerita and they arrived promptly. Our choice for the tapas were Bread with Oil and Apple Balsamic, Squid and Clam Andalusia, Beef and Pork Meatballs and Chickpea Battered Prawns. The prawns were the stand out favourite and I could have happily eaten another plate of those, however everything was tasty and good quality. For dessert we shared the tasting plater and the Churros, which were undoubtably the best I have had. Throughout the meal the service was incredible, so friendly. The prices are a little high but I think the quality and service are worth it.

Good food, really, really expensive. The output does NOT match the price.

Went here on a Wednesday night, we were seated right away and our server took our order straight away. We ordered 4 different dishes from the tapas menu — The chorizo, tempura guindillas and beef and pork meatballs were lovely, the sweetcorn and cheese croquettes were a little bland but still OK. The server was very helpful, she sat at the table with us and helped us choose some of the dishes and which drinks to order. Also has a great view of the Rockingham foreshore.

This is my go to place! The service is great and the food is to die for! Wild mushrooms are the best! Always very busy and the staff are mostly friendly. Love this place!

Fantastic service and a beaut menu as well as lovely views with the sun going down. What else could you ask for??? In my case a restaurant that caters for your food allergies, And they certainly did with beautiful flavour, flair and without a fuss! The problem was choosing the dishes and limiting it to a volume of food we could eat. The rose sangria is addictive and nicely flavoured, salmon was Devine and the beef cheeks melt in the mouth. Paella with squid ink is my new favourite, and don’t forget to smile with your black teeth when You pay the bill! Lol We will be back!

Another restaurant we like to frequent anytime of the year. Last night I took my niece and her man here to top of their great visit to Perth. I suggest you book as this place is rockin! It was hard to suggest a good tapas as they are all delicious. Always a good vibe whether a night or with the girls or with a group including kids. The view is great overlooking the Rockingham sound as the Sundays and the lights start to twinkle from the boats, Garden island and shore based industries. even the biggest appetites are satisfied from 3 tapas servings each. If you have a sweet tooth make your 4th serve the churros with butterscotch and dark chocolate dipping sauces. I am yet to try the four desert trading plate, which the chef’s choice always sounds and looks delicious. Great cocktails and full bar. Staff are very attentive but they get super busy serving a packed house, so if you find yourself waiting a little longer than you like just catch the eye of any staff and they will fulfill your needs.

I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried at Rustico, and this was the first time I tried their desserts. I love places that offer tasting plates, so I can get a little bit of everything. Our tasting plate consisted of a profiterole, pannacotta, Tia Maria cheesecake and a chocolate pot. I’m glad I shared with a friend, as tasty as it was I probably would have felt a little sickly if I’d devoured it on my own(which I would have had no trouble doing!). For lunch between the two of us we had the pork belly, garlic squid, rocket and pear salad and patatas bravas, which were all great. I do feel the prices are a little higher than your average tapas bar, but the portion sizes are a little larger than normal for tapas. Since our bill ended up being $ 90 we may as well have gotten the $ 49 set menu. I would recommend the set menu for value for money, since you would probably end up paying close to that if you’re planning on getting two tapas plates per person plus dessert.

Yep — like previous Perth Based reviewers I was NOT expecting to be impressed by a restaurant frequented by Bogans and Jersey Shore extras … but blow me down with a feather they well and truly exceeded my limited expectations… Friendly staff offered to help split the drinks bill by giving each couple an individual tab number… simple and effective … so why is it so hard for other establishments??? Table of 9 to celebrate a *cough* 30th birthday of a friend were treated to the $ 50/head set tapas menu … one word… EXCEPTIONAL!!! Quality and presentation of EVERY dish was majestic and without fault… although the paella was a little bland .but it wasthe last savory dish on the night and maybe I had been spoiled by the Scallops/chorizo/Chick pea battered Prawns/Pork Meatballs/2 x types of prosciutto/amazing wild mushrooms in a sherry cream/spectacular Pork Belly in Pedro Ximenez sauce… and a delightful Spanish Cheese plate followed by Churros Con Chocolat(with Two types of dipping sauce mmmmmmmm) Overall spectacular food, attentive and organised staff with reasonable pricing but don’t let the 20−30km distance to this friendly, quality establishment stop you living life on the wild side and trying something outside the city limits of Perth…

Who’d’ve thought there’d be a place to rave about in the ‘Ham? Yes, I do mean Rockingham. Here’s where it helps to have a local show you about. My friend had been bragging about this joint for some time and on a drizzly afternoon, I headed down there, swinging past her joint, telling her to put her money where her mouth was. And she’s come up trumps. So has Rustico. OK, so maybe as you expect, there are families there and the dress code is relaxed. The décor has mixed seating, from the plastic enclosed terrace, to bar seating along the window, tables and chairs and vinyl couch seating. While they might have saved money on the furnishings, no expense has been spared on presentation and flavour. There is a lot of love and pride coming out of that kitchen, along with some mighty fine tapas plates. Two of us shared four plates and a jug of Sangria and all that came to about $ 95. They have tasting plates, and other menu options but for a lazy arvo, you can’t beat a glass and a small plate. Very efficient service, too. Free wi-fi available. Parking available in marked bays outside. Lovely view over a park to the water. I’ve added some gastroporn to the restaurant page.

Tapas in Rockingham is not something you would expect to blow your socks of, but Rusticos has bucked the trend and is producing city like food and value for money. As soon as arrived in the cosy little restaurant they pushed and pulled four tables together so our extended family could be seated together, now that is service. The menu was a delight to pick through with dishes to suit all taste buds. The children’s menu had some solid performers with the spicy meatballs being cooked to a tender ball of fun, although they were slightly on the to hot side for my children(more for me!). After tasting a Spanish red and locking that down we chose the air dried wagyu, braised beef cheeks with chorizo, wild mushrooms and duck two ways. Wagyu: we were told by our waitstaff to roll the wagyu and eat it that way, whilst a little messy it was a great way to consume it. The little croquette gave it the textural element to the dish which rounded the seasoned beef wonderfully. Beef cheeks: what a melting moment piece of protein. The beef had bags of flavour and melted as you inserted your cutlery, the accompanying chorizo was also cooked perfectly and gave a nice sharpness to the dish. Wild mushrooms: hello lover! This was my gold medal winner today, as the light creamy sherry cream was a delight whilst all consumed on the toasted sourdough. Duck two ways: again all elements were cooked perfectly, the duck was beautifully pink and seasoned well. The little spring roll renditions were nice but I think a sweet based dipping sauce is needed to give a little moisture. So there you have it, easily the best restaurant within a 15 km radius and one of the best I have been to in the southern end of Perth. When visiting family again I will only go to Rusticos, well done team. PS they do split billing! Food 8.5÷10 service 8⁄10 décor 7.5÷10

Great service, great atmosphere, fantastic food — it is the kind of place you are distraught about if your wife wants to go there for your wedding anniversary and you leave your run to late to book a table! …yes, that was me :( I think they have had the same head chef since opening and it is always consistent. Vanessa the Manager knows how to run things and she is super accommodating. The locals don’t dress up much for the occasion and take for granted that this is probably the best tapas in Perth… or that I have had anyway.
