When my eldest first started attending Allenstown State School, a Government primary level school in 2005, it was a pretty good school I would have rated four stars but after key staff transferred to other school in 2008/​09, the school went downhill fast.
Bullying suddenly became a matter which school staff were no longer interested in cases of school yard bullying. Some teachers became the bully in and out of the classroom as well.
I hope the school has changed but from what I’ve heard from friends still at Rockhampton, a school which once had a top reputation is now seen as one of the worst in town.
