Nando’s Robina Town Centre

Sadly disappointed. After a drive down from Brisbane hungry and eager to satisfy our hunger we were welcomed with dry chicken. Maybe it was an off day? I would love to see juicier chicken next time and better cooked chips :)

No doubt that I am a fan of Nando’s. Which is why I decided it was about time I tried the Nando’s located at The Promenade of one of the current Gold Coast favourite shopping centres, Robina Town Centre.
While all ginormous franchise/​chain stores aim to recreate and emulate a consistent approach to the customer experience at every store, each store, even within the same locality, still have enough differentiating factors to favour one over another.
So, after trying a few different Nando’s stores around the Gold Coast, I will have to say this one in Robina Town Centre is the best one yet.
The chicken I had was grilled excellently, remaining tender, juicy and flavoursome, with the spice level just as I ordered (hot). The peri peri chips, which were tasty and crispy on the outside, soft fluffy on the inside, were also more than adequately covered in the «magical» peri peri spices (unlike other places where coverage is scarce, leaving you wanting just a bit more in order to be satisfied).
The staff were all nice and pleasant, and our meals came out within reasonable time. If you find yourself on the Gold Coast, near Robina and have that Nando’s itch that’s in need of some scratching, this is definitely the right place to be.
