Pro: Good seasoning on the chips. Con: They get one aspect of my order wrong almost every time.

Now I am not really a fan of schnitzels. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with them its just that they aren’t usually my number one choice at a café or restaurant. If only the same could be said about my partner. He is a schnitzel tragic. He found out about the Schnitz Café on Bridge Road and in exchange for spending hours shopping with me along the strip, he made me go here for lunch. I have to say that I was pretty shocked. Inside is a schnitzel lover’s paradise and this place was able to convince me that I had been wrong all along. The humble schnitzel is worthy of a position on many menus at good cafes and restaurants. You can choose between chicken, beef, pork, fish or vegetarian options and then pick the accompaniments. Its kind of like Grill’d — but with schnitzels. I had the status quo($ 9.90) with chicken schnitzel, cheese, coleslaw and honey mustard mayo while my partner had the OMG!($ 13.90) with chicken schnitzel, cheese, bacon, pineapple, egg, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, BBQ relish and aioli. While his meal looked a little too much for me I was pretty content with mine. The flavours were really good and the service was friendly and efficient. Overall the Schnitz Café is a winner.
