Frozen By A Thousand Blessings

I don’t have a major fro-​yo passion, and to me all these self-​service make-​your-​own bars blur into one, but have to say I did enjoy this last time we popped by, though that might have had something to do with sitting outside in the lovely sun on an otherwise wintery day more than the yoghurt.

Always my favourite go-​to froyo joint. Always tasty.

Not a good experience as a regular here at all. Door was locked at 8pm when is normally open. Knocked on door and young fella opened up without offerring a reason why it was closed. Went in and it suddenly dawned on me that every time I go in I seem to be paying more than last time! Crazy pricing for what you get really. It also for the first time seemed like an olden day Sizzlers with messy bits of other toppings in with other toppings. Not good and the frozen yoghurt taps were dirty as well. Im not going back to spend stupid dollars on dirty and un managed hygienically questionable food. Has gone from 10 to zero in an amazing short time.

Mmmmm, froyo. This place is pretty good when it comes to self-​serve froyo bars. They have six flavours to choose from at any one time, with a couple of soy options for the dairy-​free. Last time I ventured in, they had added a new mixed berry flavour that was delicious combined with a bit of natural and chocolate flavours as well (how very Neapolitan of me).
I love the range of toppings, with lots of healthy options including various seasonal fruits, chia seeds, nuts and coconut. As well as some more naughty options including choc wafers, white choc buds and Turkish delight.
Just be careful you don’t go too nuts and get a shock when you go to pay — it’s $ 2.90 per 100g and I’ve seen many a froyo virgin get stung by this fact! There’s quite a few seats inside and some tables out on the street too. All in all, yummmmmmy!

Frozen is as good as frozen yoghurt gets, I had a mix of the coconut and green tea which were both devine.
There are an excellent range of toppings available from fruit through to more decadent options such as chocolate and cakey bits.
Great to have a healthy treat that is bio-​dynamic, organic and locally sourced.

I used to go here alot, but I have lost interest as the flavours never change & it is very pricey. Always great to take my kid sister here though as she loves serving herself & picking the toppings. It is always busy & they must do very well for themselves.

One of many pop-​up frozen yoghurt cafés appearing around Melbourne, this one follows the usual formula. $ 2.90 per 100g, toppings of your choice. Plenty of cool young people sitting outside in the sun chatting and a few oldsters standing around looking confused. Our kids, however, just went «YAY» and headed straight for the chocolate sprinkles.
Fro-​Yo bars are no longer an original concept, but it is pretty hard to get it wrong. And this place doesn’t.

Terrible value. Got the smallest cup, didn’t fill it up much & ended up paying over $ 9. What?! $ 9 for a little cup of yoghurt is insane. Of course you can’t take stuff off once you’ve put it on, so the major shock at the register is too bad for me. Staff don’t know the ingredients of their toppings, important info to learn for the numerous people these days who have dietary prefs or needs of some kind.
Flavours of pomegranate and green tea were identical, tangy and just tasted like plain yoghurt. I like plain yoghurt but was expecting, well… pomegranate and green tea!
The one star is for a range of toppings that was ok.
Never thought I’d do a bad review as i don’t think it’s a great thing to do, but just describing my experience here.

This was my first Foray into the over the top fad that is Froyo.
It was nice, good range of flavours and ok priced. But it is Frozen Yoghurt, lets not forget that. Now that I have been to other establishments I would have to say that the guys at Frozen do a great job, they produce a fine tasting product and a well designed shop.

Choc topping is nice

The frozen yoghurt here is super tasty! Just as you would expect from a frozen yoghurt store you pay by the weight and they have all the traditional yoghurt flavours.
I found that the yoghurt here tasted less sweet and more organic than the frozen yoghurt available in the US. I think this is a good thing because you get more flavour out of the yoghurt and the toppings accentuate that. It’s not just a pile of sugar.

It’s a warm Saturday afternoon so naturally I am jonesing for froyo. Unfortunately, my shopping path down Chapel towards Richmond leads me further and further away from my preferred froyo-​hunting ground at Yo-​Chi in Balaclava. What’s a girl to do?
Fortunately, Frozen has recently appeared on the froyo scene to cover your froyo needs in Richmond. It’s a self-​serve/​by the weight establishment, which is my preferred mode of froyo (I have control issues), with six flavours and a topping bar. I don’t find these toppings quite as extensive as other places, but it’s got a different selection, which works in its favour — this includes muesli, mini moshi (do they mean mochi?), Reese’s pieces and the usual fruit selection, including some pearls, plus sauces. The yoghurt itself is quite creamy and smooth, made with organic milk, although I found it maybe a little too melty this day. The fruit flavours are fresh and there is even a dairy-​free option (I didn’t check if it was completely vegan but the odds may be in that favour).
While my heart belongs to St Kilda, and by extension Yo-​Chi, Frozen is a welcome addition to the burgeoning froyo scene. The friend with me today was visiting from the froyo desert of Brisbane and she decided to terrify me by speculating that froyo is but a passing fad for us fickle Melbournians and that all these establishments will be gone in a few short months. I want to prove her wrong.
But now, more importantly, I have Madonna’s «Frozen» stuck in my head.

I have always loved plain frozen yoghurt, that slightly tangy flavour makes me happy. The massive rush of «fro-​yo» places making it to Melbourne finally makes me happy. The fact that there is now froyo around the corner from work is great.
Frozen have a seasonal selection of 6 flavours (they take suggestions for next season flavours too). My favourite of the current selection are the Plain and Coconut.
All the fruits and nuts on offer as toppings are organic which is great to see. There are also a few naughty options with chocolate, halva, sauces etc available as well.
The décor is very simple and relaxed. At the moment there is no outside seating and only room inside for maybe 15 people to sit so on a busy day this may be a turn off as there wont be much room inside.
