I must say, this is the very first time I have been here, which is quite shocking considering I have lived south of the city all my life! I have always thought it was ‘daggy’, so have avoided it … well, I must say I was pleasantly surprised ;) We came here with a good friend who dines here fairly often, but had to arrive fairly early due to Miss 7(6.30 for dinner). The kids meal arrives minutes after ordering, and our meals a short time after our garlic bread entrée. I had pork belly with crispy crackling — absolutely delicious!!! The other meals(slow cooked lamb shoulder and Atlantic salmon) were also of a very high standard for the average $ 26 pricetags. There’s also a more basic menu(ie schnitzels) menu for those not wanting the restaurant options. Just one thing that prevented me from giving this place 5 stars … two tables with screaming kids! We would have stayed longer(and ordered more) if they weren’t there. Now I realise this wasn’t the restaurant’s fault, but I think the fact that they have to cater to those staying at the hotel as well as offering high-quality restaurant meals has meant that some of their clientele are somewhat lacking in manners(if you know what I mean!). The setting here is lovely, and the staff here are very friendly — I would love to come here again … possibly a little later to avoid noisy families!
