Street style Malaysian food. The restaurant doesn’t look like much, but the food is delicious, the serving portions are large– $ 7.50 for large plate of rice with 3 dishes of your choice. My favourites are the lamb curry, curried egg and chicken giblets with beans. A great place for a quick tasty meal on a budget.

Love this place… it’s open early for when i want lunch at 10am sometimes. I always go the bain marie style stuff…3 choices for about $ 7.90…and its really good — better than the more famous bain marie Indo place in Kensington. Love the lamb curry, the egg curry… but as is often the case the stand out dish is the eggplant chilli dish. Be warned this place is way up by itself across from the hopsital… it’s a long walk from Anzac Parade.

Ria Sari is a small Indonesian restaurant located in Kensington, near the University of New South Wales. It offers great, quick meals that’ll sure to have you coming back, especially for dishes like their fried chicken, salted fried fish, eggplant or typical favourites like beef rendang. This shop is easy to miss as it looks more like a homely corner store, than a restaurant or take out joint, but if you just keep you’re eye out for the 7 – 11 petrol station on the corner you’re sure not to miss it. The prices here are very reasonable when you compare it to the portions and quality of the food. Definitely a good place to try, when you’re not wanting to spend too much money or when you’re wanting to try something different than the usual restaurants on Anzac Parade and at Randwick shops.
