First, Pascal(the host) is lovely. However, the rest is a bit of a disaster… the décor was only ok after the«makeover.» We were even given a dirty wine glass with lipstick on it! The food was awful — the beef was totally undercooked and over-sauced. The only saving grace was the crêpe which was still only OK. Then we got the bill! They charged $ 5/head for the bread! Beware the corkage is also per person and not per bottle. I wish I had better things to say…

Chez Pascal would have to be my favorite French restaurant in the Sydney area. Has been around for ages and always serves great food. It is a cute little restaurant and it is always busy on the weekend so make sure to book ahead. The chef is warm and welcoming and always comes out to ask if everyone is happy and personally says hello which I feel is a welcome touch that you dont get in many places these days. Food is great and I would recommend the snails which my partner and I get every time for and entrée. It is also BYO, and there is a bottle shop 3 doors down which is very handy Highly recommend you try it out !!

Chez Pascal has always been a fave of mine with its cosy french ambience and great menu. They have recently moved a little further down the road near Camille St. Still same crew, .singing chef who stops midway through cooking and has the diners singing .(does he still do that?). French Provincial cooking at its best. Give it a try. BYO too!
