Ideally I would give this place 3.5 stars. Service was quick and friendly enough and prices were very reasonable($ 10 per head for more than enough food). The food was on par with any decent fish and chip place, except that the batter on the fish could have been better — it was quite flat and a thin coat, unlike the fat, fluffy beer batter you often get(which I like). The serves of fish are also smaller than I’m used to but they are cheap too, so it evens out. Would go back.

As a recovering deep-fried-food-aholic this was ok. The fish was a little too heavily battered even for my tastes, the chips were great of course. Be warned this place goes off during summer and on the weekends.

By far, THE Best Fish & Chip shop on earth. Seriously. Always packed, but you get quick service and it’s worth the wait sometimes. Chips always done to p-e-r-f-e-c-t-i-o-n. Batter uses is beer batter and you can taste the difference. Or you can get your seafood grilled or crumbed, just ask and they’ll tell you if they can do it that day. Don’t be put off by the queue outside especially over the summer holidays, these guys move fast. They also sell fresh fish, prawns and oysters but it’s not a huge selection. One thing is, everything I’ve had from here is always fresh.

It had been years and years since I’d eaten fish and chips, but when I flew home last year, I remembered one of the best places I’d eaten at and we went straight there after only a couple of days off the plane! Minimum chips, potato cakes, savs in batter, butter fish, flake, fried dimmies, steamed dimmies — you name it, we ate it, and it was DELICIOUS!
