For years this was a favourite restaurant of mine. Great value, huge meal sizes, home-cooked style choices on the menu, good service. It seems that this has unfortunately changed in recent months though. I’ve been back twice in the last 8 months and both times have been disappointed. The prices have been jacked up, but the quality seems to have diminished. Vienna Schnitzel is soggy and tough, veggies are extremely undercooked and the flavour seems to have dropped several notches. The service has also changed too, waiters are disinterested and bored. I used to take the family there, but lately we’ve been giving it a miss in favour of the local bistro. Still, if you are hungry and near Queanbeyan, it’s worth stopping in and trying it out.

When you hear the name you automatically think of a «greasy spoon» kind of place but nothing could be further from the truth. Whilst it may have had humble origins the owners have done the place up nicely, modern décor, plenty of tables, well presented staff, high tech POS gear and all that. If you are hungry and want something that looks and tastes good then this is the place for you. They don’t hold back with the size of their servings, I have found that the small bacon and eggs does me just fine, the large is for the hearty eater! If you are ever in the Queanbeyan area, or South Canberra for that matter, and need a good feed, drop in and see these guys(and gals). I noticed that they are also licensed. Highly recommended.
