History

Established in 1980.

Jem Designs is a family run business and has been manufacturing swimwear and dancewear in Adelaide, South Australia for over 30 years.

Our factory is based at the rear of our retail outlet in Prospect where we make under our own Jem label and also for our customers under their label. It began as a small affair mainly selling leotards for aerobics and slowly evolved to selling swimwear.

We are now known well as a manufacturer of swimwear that lasts! Our label and a lot of the brands we hold, such as Speedo, Rival, Zoggs and many others are made in a chlorine resistant fabric. We also hold fashion labels such as Seafolly.

One of our strengths is that we manufacture smaller quantities so can cater for the smaller clubs and schools to make their uniforms. We also manufacture under customers labels and again can make in small quantities which gives us the ability to compete with the Asian markets.
