This is one of my favourite burger joints in Melbourne. My go-to burger is the Chew and it’s always been perfect — juicy and a little pink on a very nice brioche and other great ingredients, and the fries are good too. My partner goes for the Plenty and is always happy with it. The service is friendly as well. The only downside is that the place is small and there aren’t many tables to sit at, but you can take your meal to the pub next door or take it home.

Smashed a burger here in a girls night, big burgers with big flavours. However just be mindful if you sit next door to eat as we didn’t know the two places side by side where not a ‘team’ and we were rudely asked if we were going to order a drink or we would have to leave.(FYI put a little sign on each table)

I walked in on a Wednesday night and found nothing to fault; it wasn’t busy, the store was empty, I got my order within ten minutes, the fries were cooked and seasoned right and the portioning was generous. You won’t find any shitty stale and disappointing pub chips here; the real deal; fries that are fresh. Burgers are tasty, the Mexican inspired special and the plenty are my two favorite picks. They’ve got their stuff worked out, as even with half the patrons eating at the racoon, there was no real problems. On thing that I will point out is, that you will need a copious amount of napkins, it can and will get messy. Great tasty burgers. Nothing to fault with service; it’s efficient but doesn’t really need to be anything else.

This place is disgraceful! Burgers are sloppy and tasteless, fries are overrated and over priced, there’s no ventilation in the place! With all the amazing burger places this is not one of them!

Awesome burger! Had the Plenty & Chew Burgers. Both were great. Patties were cooked perfect slightly pink and was not the processed type. Real meat. Brioche could b better, more butter! Fries ok

Awesome burgers. Flavoursome and plentiful. Love the use of a brioche bun, coz lettuce and wagyu beef. Can also order and take next door to the Racoon Club. Worth the wait — although on a busy Friday night this was less than 10 minutes. Have specials from time to time. Staff really pleasant and good to see they work well with each other in what could be a small space. Highly recommended.

Been here a couple of times as its right aroundthe corner from my house. I must say that the plenty burger today was amazing(it’s huge so beware!) & the ghost chili chips were delish. Best part is the tram stops right there AND raccoon club is right next door. Raccoon allows you to bring food from Chew around or Chew dudes will bring it around to you. Everyone wins!

I wasn’t really in a meaty mood the day I dropped into Chew Burgers so I went ahead and ordered their veggie burger. I was a little hesitant actually because I find the quality of veg burgers can vary wildly: They can be dry as cardboard, tasteless, or(horrors) full of chewy chickpeas. Well colour me impressed. Chew Burgers just might be serving up the best veggie burger in Melbourne. Moist quinoa and black bean patties come smushed between a sweetish and fluffy pumpkin brioche bun. Then they turn it all up to 11 by throwing in some crunchy lettuce, pico de gallo salsa and guac. So good. I ordered a sizeable side of fries and these were good as well, if a bit salty for my blood. It all came to 14 dollars which is tres reasonable considering the size and quality of the serves. It was all delivered to our table at Racoon Bar next door within 20 minutes. Prompt, cheap, and delish=win. Only giving them 4 stars for now as I haven’t tried the carnivorous options yet. But next time I’m up Preston way I’ll be sure to head back here for another round.

Love love this place… All the burgers are really good, I must say I have sample most of them. The service is quite fast and all the staff are really friendly and look like they enjoy their job. Tonight I’m having the«3072» so that a 190g Wagyu patty(biodynamic Otway ranges) with jalapeño, cos lettuce and sriracha slaw on a brioche bun… Plus a side of Parmesan salt fries. The other great thing about this place is that there’s a bar next door, Raccoon bar. So you can order inside Chew and then get your burger delivered next door while having a tasty local craft ale or glass of wine. So take it from me it really worth popping in and tasting one the many burgers they roll out. 3 beefy, 1 chicken, 2 vegan/vego and plus a little burger for the kids

Chew Burger of Preston is legit. The burgers are big the mets is juicy and the fries are crunchy. Service is quick and friendly and if there are no spots in side then don’t hesitate to head next door for a beer while you wait, they’ll bring the food to you. I had the plenty burger and it didn’t let me down, huge burger and it was perfect. Can’t wait to come back!
