Usually when you go into a fish and chip shop seeing a heap of people waiting for their orders mean one of three things, the store is either good, slow or it’s tea time on a public holiday. I have never been in to Colonel Sams without at least 5 people in front of me, and it isn’t because they are slow and I never eat fast food on public holidays! Colonel Sams is definately the balls! they always have a minimum of 6 people working behind the counter on the grills and prep areas and the food is usually up lickedy split! I have also had a burger from them(like Paul M), but I went for the beef variety. It did fall apart for me, but that was no fault of the burger nor those who made it. I was just inhaling that sucker… it never stood a chance! I also really like the hotdogs(I never order Chicken from a Chicken shop, I’m weird like that!).

I used to work near Colonel Sams and let’s just say, they got to know us! Colonel Sams is a damn fine Chicken Shop, and their grill plate is always full. There are normally a few people waiting when you walk in and with good reason. The food is never greasy and is cooked right where you can see it. Obviously being that we ordered during our lunch break we couldn’t wait around, so we would call ahead with a bulk order, which they were fine with. So what’s so good about it? The care taken with the food would be the answer there. If you order a chicken burger you don’t get a sloppy mess between two buns, you just get a nice chicken burger with very little grease. They also don’t skimp on the salads and they put on just the right amount of mayonnaise or sauce. If you want a nice chicken shop meal without the added grease then check out Colonel Sams. If you can’t wait then call ahead.
