L’Academie — RAD Ballet ages 5+
Bringing the highest quality dance and RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) ballet to the Inner West, L’Academie classes are designed to suit the needs of all dancers, from those who just wish to learn to dance, to students interested in pursuing a career in ballet or the performing arts.
Classes emphasise technique, correct placement, dynamics, artistry and performance qualities, allowing each student to reach their full potential. Ballet, Pilates, Limber/Stretch, Contemporary, Jazz and Eisteddfod lessons are available.
Lead by principal Kristyn Tindall ARAD Solo Seal PDTD (Dip.), L’Academie teachers aspire to pass on their passion, philosophy and experience in a professional and positive environment whilst developing excellent technique and confidence.
Sugarplums — Junior School ages 2 to 5
These fun-filled early learning dance classes are designed to develop co-ordination, motor skills, muscle memory, musicality and spatial awareness, using repeated movement which children enjoy, all the while stimulating their imagination and creativity. With dance, improvisation, song and music, the children are engaged from the moment that class begins right through to the end of the lesson.
The playgroup style lessons cover educational concepts, developing your child’s skills in listening and following directions, via response through movement to stimuli such as shapes, use of space, time and dynamics.
History
Established in 2011.
After performing and touring both in Australia and Europe, Miss Kristyn completed her teaching diploma at the Royal Academy in London and returned to Australia to teach.
Opening her own school had always been Kristyn’s dream and goal, and in 2011 she realised this, bringing her experience and skill to the Inner West with L’Academie, offering dance and RAD ballet for all ages with Sugarplums for 2 to 5 year olds.
Sugarplums creates a space where mums, dads and their children can come and enjoy a creative, fun and inspirational environment that instil lasting memories in these very important pre-school years.
Kristyn and her staff aspire to nurture and teach all students the love of dance whilst creating an educational, creative and learning environment through movement, dance, music and improvisation.
