My weekly supply of rolls and breads always freshly baked each morning on the premises. Rolls do not have the usual sickeningly sweet smell of vanilla essence like you get from other bakeries — shows the baker here knows what bread is meant to be! There is also a breakfast bar for that quick bite — try their hot rolls and chips, and also their yummy subs! A big range of desserts like iced donuts, meringues, vanilla slice, muffins(love their Jaffa and orange poppyseed ones), tarts, etc.

This bakery is in a great location. I quite often jump off my current train to grab something for lunch and or morning tea before jumping on the next train to work. Sweet, savoury, drinks — you name it you can get it here. I find the prices to be reasonable. They also have a seating area so you can eat in if you like. I find the staff to be quite friendly.

I wouldn’t really rave to much about this one. And if you are thinking rave? Yes I do actually rave about some bakeries. I know that may sound a little odd but I have a deep love for carbs, so bread and cakes really make me so happy! Now when it comes to savoury treats this place does pretty well, covered in oil but scrumptious in taste. I had a corn jack, after not having one since high school, which is a little while ago now. I was amazed, it was better than I ever imagined, I don’t know if it was the fact it had been a childhood love of mine, but the time apart made me forget how good it really is, or perhaps it is that Trackside Bakery, know their corn dogs. Personally I think it is the combo, if you have been deprived of corn dogs since school, get down here and have your mind blown!

Trackside Bakery. What can I say? Count up the change in your wallet just before you pull into Perth train station and no matter how little, you are almost sure to get something delicious. 50c donuts, $ 1 buttered rolls and even little donut holes! Not only pastries but salad, rolls, pies and even good coffee! Don’t go out of your way though — there is better if you have the time to look for it!

Location, location, location! It doesn’t get any more prime than this. The well-known«bakery» is situated atop the exit to the city’s train platforms. It’s a place of too-good convenience, snatching effortless snacking opportunities left, right and centre. The morning commute make up for skipped breakfast here and mums en route to Christmas sales will pacify kids with donuts and pink and blue meringues. Time-poor workers will find ease in a chicken and salad roll, and cash-strapped teens seek out hot chips doused in salt and vinegar sprayed from a bottle. I think you get the picture… this is a bakery of right time and right place. The baked goods aren’t fantastic but they do they job. I wouldn’t seek out Trackside Bakery for any other reason than handiness… not even then actually, but I’m the pickiest.

Trackside Bakery has been around for as long as I can remember. And for a long time before that. It’s changed a lot over the years, but one thing remains consistent: good food at decent prices. Trackside sells all sorts of baked goodies, and tasty ones at that. One of my all time favourites has got to be the coconut macaroons(SO good). It also does a whole range of hot food for on the go, from sausage rolls to mini pizzas, and is the perfect place to stop off for a snack if you’re on your way to work or just waiting for a train.

This is my first one star rating and with good reason. Located in the smelly and extremely dirty Perth Train Station, I would hardly call this place a bakery. That world conjures up pictures of fresh pastries, bakers in clean white uniforms, and a nice smell and look to all the food. What we have here is an unclean display window full of sad looking pastries, oily sausages, and random decaying fruit salads. The crowd isn’t much better. I wouldn’t eat anything from here if it were being given out for free by a naked Brad Pitt.

Located inside Perth Station, Trackside Bakery must feed thousands of hungry commuters every day. Perfect for when you need an on-the-go snack, or when you just miss a train and have nothing else to do but eat baked goods until the next one comes. It has a wide selection of cakes, muffins, doughnuts, cookies, pastries, sandwiches, pies, sausage rolls and other baked things, so whether you feel like sweet or savoury stuff there will probably be something that will hit the spot. The jam doughnuts are pretty good, and they have these savoury bread things with different toppings on which make a tasty snack. The food isn’t out of this world, but it’s quick and convenient and right there when you need it.
