Delicious and inventive cupcakes and sweets. We had the Snickers slice and the Fererro cupcake, which were both to die for. Staff are very nice too!

Sugarplum Sweets is a magical place, filled with wondrous, sweet delights! On our visit we felt we had the winning golden ticket as we had the opportunity to meet the Sugarplum Fairy herself aka the fabulous Flavia! Flavia with her natural flair and sense of fun held us spellbound. Odes could be written about the scrumptious cupcakes, they are sweet morsels of perfection. I tried the Hazelnut Rocher and the zesty Lemon Meringue cupcakes and they were divine. Mention must also be made of the sweet Snickers slice and the caramel popcorn. You must also make sure you try the marvelous macarons which are available in a variety of appetizing flavours! Step into Sugarplum Sweets and let your senses be lulled by the pastel pink prettiness and indulge yourself with a decadent treat or two! There is a delightful, pink apron for sale complete with roses and ruffles for the domestic goddess in your life!

This place smells so nice and sugary — I think I got a sugar high just from stepping inside. Using couverture chocolate and the finest of ingredients, Sugarplum Sweets operates in two locations. It opens at 7am everyday for 7 days and sells around 12 flavours of cupcakes and 12 flavours of macarons. Sugarplum sweets does two kinds of cupcakes: 1) basic — traditional sponge and buttercream and 2) gourmet — which includes lemon meringue cupcake, decadent salted caramel popcorn, snickers slice, hazelnut nutella ferrero cupcake, and a carrot walnut with cream cheese icing cupcake. Snickers slice is definitely the winner.

Sugar lovers heaven. Many different types of cupcakes, all with decadent toppings, some classics, some new twists(peanut butter brittle, salted caramel popcorn etc). On the north-eastern corner of the St Georges Tce and Barrack St intersection, and once you go down the stairs you’re in the world of chocolates, honeycake and cupcakes/sweets. Standard prices, really friendly service. I’ll be back for another sugar fix soon.

Lovely space, nice lady at the counter and yummy treats :) Located in the State Buildings down some stairs, there are also Sue Lewis chocolatier and the Honeycake shop next to this place, all facing the stirling gardens which is a perfect spot to eat those yummy treats… I love how the place is decorated and everything looks sooo tempting! I opted for the white chocolate cupcake and a cappuccino… I have to say although I was pleased with my choice, the cupcake had a good texture but was a bit too sweet to my liking. The coffee helped to contrast with the sweetness of the cupcake.

Was so excited when I read on Facebook that this shop was opening in the city. Have wanted to try their cakes for so long! It was a little hard to find but once I did. Woo, such a cute little shops. Pretty pink everywhere. Really friendly ladies behind the counter. I was spoilt for choices. I really couldn’t decide on only one thing so I got two things to go for later. First was the salted caramel popcorn cupcake then I got the caramel centre chocolate brownie. Both were tasty! Can’t wait to go back to try some more sweet delights.

This is. 3.5 star review; the titular sweets are just that — sugar coma sweet, very tasty but you really need to like sweet things to get the most from here; sadly my coffee was rushed and was far too hot and bitter — somewhat offsetting the sweets but the overall experience was let down due to the coffee; this was open house as part of the Perth Heritage event so it is possible this small oversight will be better in future.

Amazing cupcakes! Choc caramel and lemon meringue are amazing! The stores are all in one big room with sugarplum sweets on the left when you walk in. They have cupcakes, slices, caramel popcorn, brownies and coffee. Three cute little tables outside, you don’t even realise you are right on St Georges terrace until someone starts beeping. Make sure you get one to take home!
