Sphinx Bazaar

Sphinx Bazaar is pretty bizarre, in a good way. It’s a great gift shop with, as the name suggests, an Egyptian theme. They sell a whole host of things you won’t ever need, but strangely find yourself wanting, like statues of Egyptian gods and idols, Egyptian flavoured shisha (for smoking in those fancy bong-​type dealies), jewellery, decorated papyrus, belly dancing outfits, intricate perfume bottles and perfumed oils.
Prices range from reasonable ($ 15+ for papyrus, mugs, trinket boxes etc) to maaad dear (you’d hope some of the stuff they’re flogging came right from tutankhamun’s private collection when you look at the tags, but sadly they’re just overpriced replicas). That said, if you have a friend or family member who has a great interest in ancient Egypt then this shop is the perfect place to buy all of their presents for any occasion!
