Ruth Tarvydas makes incredible creations for all of us in Perth. Luckily we don’t have to go ball gown shopping at Dana Mathers anymore. Tarvydas will even make sure that nobody else is wearing the same dress as you!
And you can’t diss the sequins, the tight silk dresses, the feather and the glamour. When did ball gowns become these plain little things? I thought you WANTED to be the centre of attention. Everyone conveniently forgets that Rebecca Twigley’s «that red dress» only skyrocketed her to fame because she had so much on show and looked amazing in it. Yet another Tarvydas masterpiece!
Picture Brynne Edelstein crossed with Anna Wintour. Enough simplicity to keep you looking classy, but then that magical touch of wow to keep everybody’s eyes on you.
Worth the price tag!

So much shudder for the dresses by this «iconic» WA designer. I was introduced to Ritzy T while working for a fashion magazine in Perth. The stylists were always bagging her stuff out and it wasn’t until I saw the pieces first-​hand that I understand how offensive they were. Think lots of feathers and sparkly diamanté. And ruffles and satin and tulle. I’m being a bitch here, aren’t I? I’m sorry, I just really don’t like her stuff. Especially for the price tag, foooweee. Lucky I don’t have to wear it I suppose.
