Nagoya Sushi are well known for their delicious, fresh sushi, but also serve hot meals, soups and bento boxes. A small selection of salads and sides is also available. I have indulged in the sushi here over the years and am happy to note that the quality and the standard of the sushi has remained consistently high. The ingredients are fresh and the sushi is prepared on a daily basis. It is also pleasing that just the right amount of mayonnaise is used so as not to detract from the flavour of the filling. Do try the panda and penguin shaped sushi. It is such a novelty and guaranteed to put a smile on your face! I love the beef udon soup, which comes with generous amounts of tender beef, scrumptious shiitake mushrooms and udon noodles in a tasty soup. I can also recommend the teriyaki fish bento which comes filled with all manner of delicacies. There is a catering service, so you can order platters for your office parties and you are charged per piece. The platters come in three sizes — small, medium and large. There is a nominal $ 3 charge for the actual platter and this is refunded once you return it. The service is outstanding, every member of staff is polite, engaging and efficient. You will always get service with a smile, so take your family, your friends and your work mates and enjoy the Nagoya experience!

Some of the best sushi in Perth — and working in the city, I’ve tried most places. Nagoya has a good range of sushi and bento etc and the prices are pretty reasonable.

Thanks to its location on Hay Street, Nagoya does very well for itself — and so it should. The food is tasty and there’s heaps to choose from. Of course, such a sought after location comes with drawbacks for customers — like crowds and high prices. Like most things on Hay Street, Nagoya can be a little on the pricey side(though it really depends what you order), and come lunch time it is PACKED with people in business ware on breaks. If you come visit after the mad rush — around 1:30pm, you’ll usually avoid the heavy crowds. And for sushi fans, it’s definitely a place to try.
