Love these empanadas! Especially the pork ones, which are my favourite. I have had empanadas in Columbia and these are exactly as I remember them — very authentic and very delicious!

I tried the empanadas at Mondo markets last Saturday morning and they brought back a lot of memories of my time in South America. I tried the lime pork and the beef empanadas and they were delicious! Especially with salsa and guacamole.
Every country in South America has their own traditional kind of empanadas, Marcelitas Empanadas are deep fried, I personally prefer the baked type, they are healthier, crunchier and with more filling.

These are the bomb and I would like to eat more of them.
My favourite is the pork and lime. The beef is very good too, with chilli. (I didn’t try the potato one as I am not normally big on carbs on carbs.)

I can only agree with Laura’s review: Marcelita’s empanadas are amazing! I tried the potato one, the beef one and my favourite: pork and lime. They were absolutely delicious, one can tell they were made with love!
There was a choice of salsa or guacamole to go with it. There’s info about their future locations on their Facebook page.
If you come across Marcelita’s stall, make sure you stop and try her empanadas: your taste buds will thank you!

The most mouth watering empanadas made with love by a husband and wife team! I had them last night and I’m still thinking about them today! Mmmmm pork!
