I’ll come back to this review in a few weeks once my hair has started to grow back and I see how it looks… For now though, let me say that I really like how my haircut has turned out. Neat, yet stylish. Done fairly quickly, but not rushed — and that’s impressive given how busy this place got. I arrived at 9:03 on Saturday morning. There were three barbers, with 3 clients in the chairs already — and 5 more inside and a further 2 outside. I intended to get a full face shave as well, and discovered that it’s not possible on a weekend day: sad face: The shop is nicely fitted out, comfortable and clean. Prices are very good, especially given the quality of the service. The staff are friendly, and the guy who cut my hair was the right level of chatty… Though I’ll admit that they are not exactly Subiaco gentry! The clientele was a fair mix — mostly young guys with hipster written all over them. But there were more mature aged folk too. The tattoos, piercings and ear plugs may put you off if you’re a bit on the conservative side — it shouldn’t. Great team. I know where I’ll be going to get the snip again ;)

Wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked in but when my wait was over I went over and told dardy barber what I wanted and he delivered the goods. Straight edge razor face, head and neck. No rush just sat me down with a beer and went to work. Great end result minimal cuts(unlike my last bloody experience at guys grooming — at double the cost) excellent finish the guys here are superb and friendly I don’t always go all out for a haircut(mainly due to my lack of hair on my head) but this was great. Also spoke to Stu about ordering in a new cut throat for me at home(been practicing with beginners set for about a year) and he had great selection and was really helpful. Highly recommend this place and I will be heading back there in the future.

Well it’s about time, to trim the mop on top of my head. Well that’s what my mum calls it. I don’t really like hair cuts, I’m certainly not planning on cutting too much off, and really wasn’t looking forward to this moment. However that would all change once I stepped inside Dr. Snippy’s Barber Lounge. Just a trim, that’s all I asked for. Nothing too elaborate or too embarrassing. So my mate recommended Dr Snippy’s Barber Shop to get my hair trimmed. This was my first visit here and I was definitely happy with the setup and atmosphere. This is truly a very nice, clean, and well organised shop. I was very impressed. The staff was really friendly and definitely made you feel welcomed. It was cool just to chill and have a nice conversation with my stylist. What could make this moment even better, an ice cold beer, and that was definitely on the menu. What else could you ask for than guzzling an ice cold Coopers, whilst getting your hair whacked. Thankfully the stylist wasn’t drinking at the same time. I’m very apprehensive to try another barber shop, just because of the fear of them mucking up my hair. I have flashbacks of Edward Scissorhands, but I couldn’t be any more pleased at the service and the clean job that Dr. Snippy’s did. There’s certainly an art to cutting hair and Dr. Snippy’s Barber Lounge has it down to a science. They’re certainly artists at what they do, but there tools are their scissors, and their clients are their canvas. So I was definitely hoping their artwork wouldn’t disappoint, and it didn’t. The best barber shop experience I’ve had, period. I’ll definitely recommend Dr Snippy’s Barber Lounge to all my friends and even some of my enemies.
