Beyond Rest

Excellent float centre with the best most spacious tanks in Perth. Ben and nick have been in the business the longest and are experts in floating and wellness. Great service and a spiritual and relaxing atmosphere.

My sister and her partner encouraged me to give a float a go, recommending it be good for relaxation.
I entered the building with an open mind, trying to take in as much as I could in order to get the most out of my experience.
Slightly unconventional, I paid upfront, my thought process being that parting ways with my hard earned dosh while in a relaxed state afterwards just might whisk me out of it.
$ 79 later, the friendly and informative, calm, earth-​being guy at the counter sent my sister and her partner to their individual rooms and directed me to mine where he explained the process and the utensils provided for me (ear plugs, vaseline, shower etc). He left me to it, I took quick shower, prepped (covered open wounds with vaseline, chucked in the earplugs etc) and hopped into this creepy pod thing.
My sister had recommended track two (ocean sounds) for the music supplied so it had been programmed for me. It gets played for the first and last 10 minutes of your session and is meant to ease you into and out of a relaxing state alongside a light that auto shuts off and on. They provided a neck pillow which I thought best to use but discarded it after a short period as it was hurting my neck muscles.
The water is obviously clean and sterile (they go into major detail about how it’s filtered etc), and the temperature is at regular body temp so you can’t tell where the water starts and your body stops and I certainly did float which was a cool feeling however, my form of relaxation usually comes in the form of a heavy handed remedial masseuse, kneading my muscles to within an inch of their lives. I was yawning my head off heading into the session but for the life of me, just could not get into this amazing relaxed state others had raved about.
While I’m glad I gave it a go, I’m genuinely disappointed that it did absolutely nothing for me other than up my credit card debt but I guess it’s just not for me.

Want to completely zone out of the world… this is the best way to do it. It is like nothing you have experienced before and I love it!
When you arrive you are greated by friendly staff whom take you through to your pod. You are inducted though the process and left to relax. The epson salts give you the ability to float on the water and help your body unwind. After the float, you absorb the experience in their chill out room and chat with the staff and drink some herbal tea.
Since floating, my shoulder pain has eased significantly and I find I have a clearer mind. Defs recommend!

A great way to relax! Might take a few visits to get used to it. Memberships are available for cheaper floats. Everything provided including towel, earplugs, conditioner etc. I went for the first time today and will likely return.
