Art classes in Perth for people who want to learn to paint, draw and create art in a variety of mediums including, oil, pastels, acrylics, pencil, charcoal and ink. Learn to paint portraits, to paint pets and attend life drawing sessions with other artists. My classes are held twice weekly in North Perth and I also hold workshops on specialized subjects such as fantasy artwork. Life drawing sessions are held weekly. My classes are suitable for aspiring artists of wide ability ranges from beginners through to advanced classes for artists who want to practice and expand their techniques in the company of other artists. Classes are small with the maximum number of students set at twelve– usually less — so everyone gets personal attention and tuition or guidance. And we all have fun in the company of people who soon become dear friends. Why not join us?

History

Established in 2012.

I am a professional artist and I moved to Australia with my husband in 2010. I started Art Classes Perth when I became aware of just how many people in Perth want to learn to paint and draw without the pressure of a very formal environment. I became secretary of the Joondalup arts association and met many aspiring artists, some of whom now attend my classes.

Business Owner

I was born in Bloemfontein i South Africa where I practiced first as a graphic designer and then an artist over many years, I work in watercolor, oils, pastels, pencil, charcoal, inks and many other mediums. I paint a wide variety of subjects ranging from portraits, animals, fantasy and landscapes. In 2010 I moved from South Africa to Australia with my husband. I teach in Perth where I am the secretary of the Joondalup Community Arts Association. I am also a member of the Watercolor Society of Western Australia.
