I have now dined in both the Qantas lounge as well as the Business Qantas lounge. Both had friendly and accommodating staff as well as clean facilities. Qantas Lounge Bar selection and barista made coffees are fantastic. Large seating areas with a wide variety of chairs to suit your needs. lounge chair anyone? Good array of food including soup of the day, cheese platter, ingredients for toasties as well as dips and crackers. There are also a few sweet treats like brownies and cookies to accompany your coffee! Qantas Business Lounge The food steps up a notch in the business lounge. For breakfast you have a choice of bacon and eggs as well as all the usual items like muesli, yoghurt and fruit. Coffee is fantastic and you also have juicer machines where you can make your own juice. I went for carrot and celery this morning — yum! I hear lunch and dinner are quite spectacular so I’ll have to come back and try it out!

Good place to rest & recharge. Especially the early am flights when you don’t have time for brekky. The pancakes!!! Way better than the ones on the sydney-LA business route. Clean and the service staff are efficient.

Spending way to much time in this shit hole, a big walk to have a smoke, the renovations were a waste of time, the taxi lines are long. Sydney airport has more traffic and you don’t have to wait, and don’t get me going about the $ 7 coffee and the lousy unfriendly service.

Always good to get away from the day to day airport drudge and chill in a little oasis. Packed out from time to time however the downstairs extensions make a big difference. Food is ok without being great however I do commend the Q club team for variety they provide. The bikkies are ice and so too the jaffas and allsorts.

It’s much quieter & relaxing now the last couple of flights took off. When I arrived the lady at the counter told me to go to the smaller one downstairs as it was quieter… There wasn’t a free table anywhere & it was hot and stuffy. I did what I do best and talked to a stranger who let me sit at his table :) The food was ok and selections of drinks alright too. But tbh, the Melbourne one is way better in nearly every way, which is funny because this upgrade cost me 20000 points and the one from Melb to Perth is only 10000 points!

Let’s face it; any respite from the great unwashed, feral children running amok, drunks behaving badly and overused, dirty seating is worth the whatever-I-pay fee per year. The things I like the best about the Qantas lounge at the Perth domestic airport are: 1. The lounge extension downstairs. It’s never crowded. Beautiful picture windows for morning flights offer you a ringside view of the tarmac and a glorious sunrise. This means that in Summer, you’re not sweltering in the afternoon sun if you’re on a later flight. 2. The biscuits. I know, I know. Small things amuse small minds but the Qantas Club nationwide serve the ‘uncool’ or ‘daggy’ Arnott’s branded biscuits. Think Honey Jumbles, 100’s &1000’s, Spicy Fruit Rolls… these are some of my favourites! I give a little squeal inside if the biscuit of the day is a choc Monte. I’m so easy to please.

We were at Perth Airport for a few hours while waiting for our flight back to Melbourne and figured we’d stop in and get some food since we were stuck on a Jetstar flight coming back. I have to admit, when I think about a Qantas Lounge, I’d expect a clean area and no shortness of food. When we got in here, there were cups and dishes everywhere, looked as though it hadn’t been tidied up in a while and there was food on the ground. When going to get breakfast, we found that the pancake maker was out of bags and they didn’t have any more bags left!!! I reckon the pancake maker is the prime reason for the visit and to run out of the stuff for it, it devastated both my sons and myself! It’s a nice benefit to just hang out and watch the planes take off and land and definitely keeps the kids busy while you’re able to catch up on whatever is on the TV and use the free Wifi but I reckon they really should work on their cleanliness!

Not the biggest of the lounges around Australia, and it looks like it needs another overhaul because it does seem a bit dated. The food is pretty much the same as the food I had in the Adelaide one, but it just doesn’t feel exclusive. The lounge was packed with people the day I was travelling and the seats weren’t that comfortable, servers didn’t seem as attentive to cleaning the tables and everyone was just really busy. Not super excited to head back, but I guess it’s a lounge?

This trip was a trip of firsts. First time in Perth and rounded out with a first time in a Qantas Lounge. Thanks to my jetsetting boss we powered out a pre-flight work session in the QF lounge. Runway views in a reasonably comfortable chair surrounded by the sensible folk? I’m in. Free Wi-Fi, endless cups of tea, the most decent airport coffee I’ve ever had, a qunioa and barley salad with a side of beets and fetta? Just topping on the cake really. While my meager points are no where near giving me access to this kind of rock-star life, my inner travel hacker is already seeing just what it can do to make it a reality. If travel teaches me anything it is that it is the little things that counts so if a comfortable chair, a decent coffee and 90 mins to read in peace and quiet gets you on your flight cool, calm and collected — it’s worth it.

Much better than hanging out at the main section of the airport, however tarnished by all the fluro FIFO guys. Surely some dress restrictions should apply. Great food and drinks though so not all good.

Enjoyed a 1hr wait at the lounge whilst waiting for a flight back to Sydney. Had some pasta, had some salad but more importantly had some Wasabi Peas!!! Oh my goodness they were so flavoursome that my tongue was burning. Heaps of seats and tv screens everywhere. Newspapers. Wifi. Coffee, Tea, Bar. The hour goes by pretty quickly and soon you realise it’s final call for flight QFxxx to Sydney. Bye Perth! It was swell!
