So. I would have to be the most non-gym/fitness person you’d ever find. Bearing in mind that living healthy lifestyle is good for the body but also the mind. I am usually a cycler but with the cold winter nights approaching I decided it was time to bite the bullet & join my local gym. I have been a few times now and have a trainer — Darren, who took me in for an initial assessment asked me health questions and then worked out a plan from the information given was so very helpful and we have built up a great rapport. Now, I have started a fantastic régime which assists my lower back muscles(as I have had a back injury), upper body strength and cardio is also involved. The staff at Kennedys are so very friendly & helpful and are available to assist or answer any questions you may have. The atmosphere is not pretentious, everyone is there for the same purpose — fitness. The gym has most of the equipment that any gym has, it is smaller but its kind of ‘cosy’. There are multiple TVs to keep your eye on while you may be running on the treadmill, on the X trainer or cycling on the bikes. All equipment has a computer programmer which makes it easy to work out a plan. The weights are easy to use and make you feel amazing! If you live in Bayside and are looking for a friendly gym, I highly recommend Kennedy’s as the place to go. With friendly welcoming staff & change rooms that include a showers & lockers — it really has everything you need in your local gym.
