T101 Tea & Cone Pizza

Pizza in a cone, are you kidding me? Whoever invented this ridiculous dish should be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize– I defy anyone not to be happy while eating a pizza cone! So, I hear you ask, from whence DOES this divine creation hail from? Originally I believe, Korea. But it has found a home in Parramatta.
I wasn’t hungry, in fact I’d just eaten, but I felt I owed it to my fellow humans to taste the unearthly delights on offer. So with a little trepidation I ordered a pesto cone to share with my friend. The mixes are premade so there’s no diversifying, but the cones are made to order– it’s loaded up with your choice of filling and LOADS of cheese, and then placed on a moving conveyor belt thing and sent on it’s way though the oven. We decided it was the most delicious thing ever & I immediately ordered another so we could have one each.
By the end of a whole cone I did start to feel a bit grossed out — this thing is really for novelty value and the plasticcy cheese only remains delicious for so long… and I’m pretty sure the wall art behind the counter was inspired by the acid trip that inspired the pizza cone. Good times!
