Love love love this place. Been here twice and the food is very delicious, very homey. The first visit we ordered fettuccine bascaiola and spaghetti Napoletana. Both were standout dishes. The bascaiola which was my dish was made with a light cream sauce that was oil based, which was interesting and subtle. I really liked it because it’s not overwhelming heavy with cream. It’s the perfect balance. My partner enjoyed his dish very much too. The second visit was last night. We were welcomed by a friendly Italian man who made the atmosphere so warm and welcoming — you can tell he takes pride in the business. He really made the experience exceptional. This time we ordered the basil pesto — I had mine with the sweet potato gnocchi. This was also a really delicious dish, although you couldn’t really taste that much of the sweet potato. But gnocchi itself was good and went well with the pesto! My partner had the pesto with spaghetti and also really liked it, even though he usually goes for a tomato based dish. We also had the garlic bread which was a little bland but honestly the vibe of this restaurant made up for it. One thing to mention though — they arent open during lunch anymore. Price wise, it’s very worth your money. You get complimentary home made lemonade and fresh bread and we spent a little over $ 30 between two. Highly recommend supporting this small business!

Maybe we got this place on a bad night. Nothing was on the money. In terms of food. The pasta was served cold. The pizza base was burnt. The flavour was average and serving sizes were reasonable. No excuse for this, we are the only ones eating in the place so it wasn’t a mad rush to get it done. In terms of service. Staff friendly enough, no real complaints there. However, 2 of the 4 sets of cutlery were dirty and obviously so. Once again, no excuse for this, its«Restaurant 101». In terms of atmosphere. I’ve driven past this place a number of times and thought it looks very cliché… and it is, but hey if you grew up thinking every Italian’s name was Al Fonzo, this is the place for you… you probably won’t know what you’re really missing.

Homemade basil pesto(added mushrooms) in penne with a spinach and feta triangle entrée. Sounds great, yeah? Unfortunately… Not. We got there and got their raved about complimentary bread and big bottle of homemade lemonade. The bread was obviously not baked in store but it was slightly warmed and thus, good to whet our appetite on. The lemonade was great too, reminded me of solo but real homemade stuff. The food came pretty quickly which was a plus. What wasn’t a plus was the size of the triangles. Ten dollars for four tiny almost wafer thin triangles? That completely ruined the rest of the experience. Nice food, shit prices.

a great little restaurant close to the river in Parramatta. The owner is really friendly and always stops by to make sure your meal is up to scratch. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Byo also keeps the cost down. highly recommended.

Cosy little eatery just off the main ‘eat street’ in Parramatta. Great for those interested in delicious home style cooking at a very reasonable price. The free lemonade is a nice touch, and the bread is great to wipe away the last bit of the pasta sauce. The décor is a little cheezy, but that almost adds to its appeal. If you are looking for fine dining, this might not be your spot, but if you want a generous meal, that is tasty just like you might eat at home, this is the place.

This place is awesome! It’s tiny but very intimate. The only bad thing I can say is they don’t sell alcohol, so make sure you BYO. The menu is very simple but don’t let that put you off as the food is simply fantastic! The spaghetti bolognese is amazing! So simple but yet so rich and tasty! The Carbonara is so rich and creamy!

I promised myself I’d get on and write a review for these guys. Cozy spot, lovely people and most of all great, traditional, affordable food. At first I thought this is a pretty standard Italian menu, but a friend insisted Nonna Maria’s was worth a visit. He wasn’t wrong. With home made pastas from $ 10 and complementary homemade lemonade and bread on arrival(as well as free corkage) you know for this place to remain profitable people must be coming back. Possibly not a good idea if you’re in a rush, though it’s quiet enough to enjoy your company. Make a booking if there’s a few of you or it’s a busier night and arrive early if you’d like the Osso Bucco.

Cozy little place with homemade, very tasty traditional Italian dishes. The menu is not huge, but all the food is authentic and well done. Pasta dishes were between $ 10-$ 14. If you eat in, you’ll have a basket of bread and carafe of old-fashion homemade lemonade delivered to your table. If you have a taste for Italian, you’ve got to give this a try… you won’t regret it!
