Being a neighbourhood takeaway shop, we’ve frequented this place a little bit more than necessary. Little Lucky Dragon probably knows this, as they are the undisputed champion of takeaway in the radius of a few blocks. Hell, they were even closed over the Christmas break days after everyone else had opened. And during the heatwave a few weeks ago they decided to shut shop because it was ‘too hot’. No, literally, they hung up a sign that said that. Cheeky cheeky. Food wise, it’s nothing to be amazed at. It’s your pretty standard, pretty reliable non-authentic suited-to-local-palette Chinese takeaway food. You do however, get a free bottle of soft drink if you order over $ 30. Bargain. Also a bargain is the hospitality that the owner gives you. She is seriously one of the nicest ladies in a takeaway shop in the history of takeaway shops. With the amount of crap she receives daily from this area of bogan town, she still manages to keep a smile on her face, and that’s what I think, makes us return every single damn time.

Well that’s certainly a mouthful of a title. Still, there is another restaurant out there called«Lucky Dragon», maybe they wanted to be a «little» different. Get it? Little? Lucky? Oh never mind… The seating inside is a bit basic, but most people come here for the takeaway anyway, so it doesn’t really matter. I never see more than one or 2 sets of people dining in at a time. I myself have only ever had takeaway, so how it is? Well, it’s not bad. I’ve had plenty better, but I’ve also had plenty worse. It really does sit somewhere in the middle. They have some nice items on the menu, but there’s nothing that makes me tell people«I visit this place for the(insert menu item here)». There’s no real menu item I would say they call their own. That being said the food is perfectly fine. They are a little dragon but that doesn’t mean they’re worth a little score. Let’s just say«good but not great».
