Australia’s number 1 Designer Children’s Wear… This title can’t be used by just anyone… and Little Workers has it under their belt. Under their teeny tiny belt in a cute little outfit. As a mum of 2, places like these are just the toys r us of baby clothing shops. It makes us wish our kids were tiny again so we could fit them into the outrageously pretty outfits they sell here. The shop isn’t huge, but it’s comfortable and the clothes are a bit pricier than your pumpkin patch. They are also very involved with international charities, like Doors of Hope and Second Chance… kids wouldn’t appreciate the clothes here until they were mums and dads, but I can, and it’s a designer baby wear clothes mecca. All mums should check this little place out. It’s just beautiful.

Don’t be fooled by the little fairy outfits at the front of this cute children’s shop — this shop is no fluffly lightweight waiting to grow up. It’s a player. Little Workers has actually won a swathe of awards in recent years(it scooped two at the Australian Fashion Design Awards; was a national finalist for American Express Rewards for Excellence and the owner and the creative director become a state winner in 2008 Telstra Business Women’s Awards). So even though I wasn’t a fan of the(mainly) floral fabrics used in the clothes, you can tell by touch that each piece is lovingly crafted, really durable and extremely good quality.

It’s shops like this that make me wish they made that cute little dress made for babies in my size. The setup and vibe of this store reminds me greatly of the living room in a country house, if said country house was full of children’s clothes and toys instead of more practical things like furniture. It’s a small store, but luckily clothes for tiny people are small so a lot can fit comfortably inside. This place has won an extensive number of awards, for fashion design and business achievement, several years in a row.
