I’m about of a foodie a pizza is always good I mean even bad pizza is still kinda good. I mean it hard to mess up pizza but to make a good pizza is tough. I ordered 2 pizzas on a Sunday night and picked it up in 15−20mins which normally it’s about 20−30min wait. This place uses fresh ingredients, thin crust and worth the price if you ask me. Fancy pizzas or the originals you can’t go wrong with this place.

I have been a fan of crust for a while. I have disliked pizza in Australia because of what major chains do to their pizza(Dominos, Pizza Hut & Eagle Boys), they always give me major indigestion. Crust does not do that too me. On this night I was drinking with a few mates at Iceworks, just a few doors down. We were kicked out because one of our party was too intoxicated, so we wanted to get a bit of food in their belly. We walked through the door and realised it was actually 5 minutes till close. The owner servered us, and said it was alright. Our order was prepaired extremely fast and after we ate, the owner also gave us some easter eggs(as it was easter weekend) Great Pizza, Great Ambiance with an extremely helpful gentleman owner!

This is my first outing to a Crust Pizza, as in the first time I’ve dined in store. It’s 630pm Thursday night and the store looks a bit empty. My parents are inside waiting for me. We decide to get a couple of half and half pizza, one meatballs and Hawaiian, the other supreme and meat lovers. The staff are friendly and they set to the task at making our pizzas. As we sit at our table, wait and watch as the pizza artists dip into the bins filled with the topping for the multitude of pizzas Crust has. They work efficiently and quickly. In the space of fifteen minutes the store has begun to fill with patron ordering takeaways and sitting down. Not once do the pizza artists slow down. Our pizzas come out, served to us on kitchen chopping boards. Our plates are squares pieces of cardboard just bigger than a pizza slice. This is an interesting and welcome turn for me. In comparison to other pizza chains, our dinner lives up to the gourmet standard that Crust sets for itself. The base is thin and crispy, the toppings generous without being over the top and the service was good. Still, next time I’m going to get a delivery.

When looks can be deceiving! I was expecting a lot more from this Pizza bar. But I felt there was a lack of service, pizza’s were not the best compared to other’s in the same category and waiting time is a bit slow. When I’ve been I’ve felt the service could do with a bit of do-over. Staff are friendly once you approach them, but there was lacking a sense of quality customer service you would expect of a gourmet style pizza place or any trendy place in Paddington for that matter. After placing the order, the wrong change was given. Although we exchanged some laughs over the matter, deep down I thought it was unprofessional. I found it a bit annoying that the person at the til still didn’t know what the right change was, so I had to repeat what I gave her and what she owes me. Pizza’s looked fancy on the ads and on menu’s however, in person, I thought it to be a bit drab. It just seemed randomly put together and rather than achieving a gourmet style pizza, it looked like a 4 year old put it together. Mind you, this was the pizza I got, my friends pizza on the other hand, did look a bit better and much tastier than mine. I suppose this place requires a bit of trial and error to find what works for you, because from experience, not everything has worked for me.
