I never quite understood the brand and product positioning of Supre. It is obviously marketed as a really cheap outlet that sell cheap clothes(in price and in features) within a filthy massive warehouse whilst you are served by spoilt little brats. The confusing part though is the fact that I don’t think the prices are that cheap here. My 2 year old son could cut a pattern better than these and he uses safety scissors, and he would give it to you for free. I did buy a bright orange top here once for an eighties party and the quality was that bad that when i washed it the seams fell apart, I couldn’t even polish the furniture with it as it just left bits of cotton and material on it. Why people pay for this tat, I simply don’t know. Maybe its some kinda a voodoo, as I just noticed that the word Supre is an anagram of purse.

If you had never heard about Supre and you would walk into their warehouse in Osborn Park and you would think you’ve just hit the jackpot. There are hundreds of tops, shorts, dresses, skirts in every colour imaginable and every style at a very reasonable price, but this price is a good indication about the quality of their garments(terrible!). In my younger days I had the misfortune of thinking about quantity rather than quality(as most young people do) and after wearing several items from Supre and them being unwearable after just one wash the message was clear: rather pay more and get something that will last you a year rather than buying something cheap that will last you one wear.

I never really understood what my mother use to complain about when I begged her to take me to Supre. But now I see: the dusty warehouse, racks full of cheap junky clothing made from poor quality material, lack of ventilation(in summer you feel like your on a farm), minimal parking and crappy lighting. Who ever thinks that paying $ 5 for a tank top is a bargain, take another look in the mirror, it’s probably because supre is the tackiest, most unflattering clothing, made from cheap cotton that will brake in the washing machine. For young girls it is definitely a store that they can get caught up in, but as you get older you can see through(literally, see through the clothing) the junk yard that Supre really is. If your willing to iron a skirt every 5 minutes because the material is so poor it creases from a light breeze in the wind, then go ahead — supre might just be the place you are looking for.
