There is no doubt that the furniture here is extremely contemporary and extraordinary beautiful, in fact their slogan is «Turn your world into a work of art» which I can see how with these lovely forms, what I cant see is their reference to Osborne Park being the new cultural centre of Perth, have they looked out their window? what bubble are they living in? so in my eyes they loose allot of credibility with such a pathetic statement. Yes you have a brilliant shop, but you are just in Ozzy Park for goodness sake. Lille a Jonathon, your not in a European City now.
They stock designers work such as Santiago Servillano, Maconato & Zappa (not the singer), these pieces of art are timeless and extremely elegant.
So yes its very pretentious, the furniture is superb and the price reflects this. So don’t even think about visiting if you don’t have a massive budget, otherwise you will just get depressed.

I continue my tour of Perth’s furniture store in search for the perfect dining table and sofa for my soon to be renovated home. Contempo is full of modern, shiny and classic furniture. Apparently they stock some big designer furniture names, like Roberti, Pedrali and Fischer Mobel. I clearly don’t know much about furniture because I haven’t heard of any of them. The designer lables are reflected in the prices, this place is not even close to cheap. I found several things that I loved, but way outside my budget. I will have to come back here after I have won lotto.

Contempo is sleek, stylish and classic. The furniture comes in neutral colours generally off whites, whites, black and dark brown which means that it goes with almost anything in your house and doesn’t date as quickly as décor that is ‘out there’. Not only does the furniture look good but I also feel as though it is very practical which is often difficult to find in ultra trendy furniture stores: draws are usually tiny or the cupboards turn out to be fakes, they are just for show they don’t actually open. Contempo is quite pricy but I doubt you could find something as modern as their pieces that will endure fashion trends, so over time you certainly get your money’s worth.
