Such a pity about the people who own this branch — he has not been helpful on a few interactions. He closes the shop early on a Saturday — he was at the door locking it and would not let me in. On another occasion we went in to change a re-direction of mail and he said he could not help us without the original receipt. Would not look it up on the computer & told us rudely to phone Auspost. The Bluff Road and Sandringham outlets are very friendly and helpful. I go there if I can — even though I can walk to Beaumaris concourse.

I’m not sure why this newsagency bothers with offering post office facilities when the newsagency part takes complete precedence over parcel pickups and postage. I was told that my parcel hadn’t been processed and that I would have to come back after their opening hours? or the next day when I had checked with AusPost whether or not my parcel was at their location and ready for pickup upon ID and pickup card checks which it was. The guy that served me gave me shallow excuses as to why I couldn’t get my parcel when all the information I was given as sourced from Australia Post said that all I had to do is collect it from the location. I waited over half an hour for no reason other than that the guy clearly wanted to serve other newsagency-related customers. The other thing that pissed me off is that whilst I waited, there were about 10 – 20 other people picking up their parcels like I had hoped to do without any issue. It was either the sheer laziness or attitude to younger customers that was preventing him to give me the same service as every other person that was there for the same reason I was. I seriously question why the newsagency bothers offering the post office facilities when they can’t even be transparent with the service to each and every one of their customers. (Note: This is not AusPost’s fault as they were very helpful in giving me information about my parcel status and directions as to how I was going to get my parcel. It is the newsagency that I am directing this review at as it is in-fact, entirely their fault for the service I received.)

My local newsagency which always stocks a huge supply of cards, magazines and stationery. There is an Australia Post outlet inside so you can do all you sending and receiving here. Plenty of those addictive scratchies and lotto tickets too! To top it all off, very friendly and helpful staff who always wear a smile no matter how busy it is.

This is a really great local newsagents. I always buy my magazines from here. They have a really large selection, from fashion magazines to car magazines. They also sell stationery and birthday cards and have a new range of gifts displayed on the outside of the shop. This includes bags and photo frames and such. They also have a large range of cheap books. So pretty much this is a blanket newsagents and post office that meets all your needs in a local shop. And it’s open later than most of the shopping centres so score!
